            Subject :  Application for proper cleanliness and maintenance of roads in colony

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing this request letter to you on behalf of all residents of my colony requesting you to please visit in the colony and observe the uncleaning of streets and damaged roads. The streets are filled with a foul smell due to open gutters and drains. Water is leaked from the gutters and flowing on the roads and streets. This is creating an unhygienic and unhealthy atmosphere in our colony.

Open manholes (gutters) are dangerous for the walking and driving people, specially for the children. Number of insects and flies is increasing day by day due to dirty water logging in the streets. This is a health hazard for all of us. Since last 5 years, maintenance work is  not done by the municipal authority for the roads in our colony that’s why roads are in bad condition. Roads are uneven at various places and many potholes can be seen on them. This condition makes the roads dangerous for driving and it becomes more dangerous during rainy season.

I, therefore, request you to please pay a surprise visit in our colony and observe everything yourself and take necessary actions to resolve this.
