Subject: Police Negligence of Duty

Sir,

I want to lodge a complaint about the negligence of duty on the part of police. Last night a theft was committed in our neighbourhood (XYZ Nagar, Street No. 8) in the early hours of the morning. The watchman on patrol duty saw two men coming stealthy out of the house. He grew suspicious and challenged them. When they took to their heels he raised an alarm. The thieves were nowhere by the time the neighbours gathered. I at once rang up the police but the police came too late. By that time, the thieves who managed to run away on Maruti Car were perhaps miles away across the Delhi Border.

Such a fraudulent negligence on the part of police is highly condemnable. Had they been honest in their intention, the culprits would have been caught.

You are, therefore, requested to look into the matter personally and bring the lax to book.

Yours Faithfully,

Sanjay Nigam
