My Dear Friend Amit,

I am very glad to see that you have sent an invitation letter to me to attend the marriage of your elder brother, Suresh. First off, I heartily congratulate your brother and family on this wonderful occasion. I would have very much liked to be present on this auspicious occasion. But as I informed you few days back that my exams begin on 20 March, 2023. On the 24th, the day of marriage, I have my Science exam. I, therefore, shall not be able to attend the marriage function of your elder brother. I hope you will not mind my absence in the marriage.

Please convey my regards to your father, mother and Suresh. My heartily congratulations to dear Suresh.
