The News Editor,

The Hindustan Times,

(Your City Name with Pincode).

Dear Sir/Madam,

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I draw the attention of Electricity Board to the frequent breakdown of electricity in our locality. The light goes out sometimes at twelve noon and sometimes in the mid of night.

In this summer season, when the air is very humid and atmosphere is sultry, it is highly intolerable to stay indoors with electric fans not working. After sunset students cannot continue their studies and have to remain idle. In the pitch-dark night accidents frequently occur. Besides, taking advantages of darkness anti-social elements in the society have increased their activities.

In the adjoining locality of (Name of the adjoining colony) we find that there is absolutely no load-shedding. This leads to believe that the load-shedding in our locality is due to negligence of the zonal staff of the area. It can be avoided if the employees take a little more care. The authorities must take necessary steps to make the electric supply regular to redress the grievances of the residents of this locality.

Yours Faithfully,

XYZ
