Amongst all the outdoor games, cricket is my favourite and I love to play this game. Cricket is a popular outdoor game played in many parts of the world on a national and an international level. It is one of the most prevalent sports in the world. This game consists of two teams that include 11 players each. It is a game played with a bat and ball. Every team has its own sets of batsmen, bowlers, and fielders. Cricket is played on a pitch in a field. Children especially boys love this game.
The first games of cricket were played in the 16th century in England and throughout the 19th century, and spread throughout the world. The first cricket club in India was established in Calcutta in 1792 and the first Test match that Team India played was at Lord’s on June 25, 1932. Indians are diehard cricket fans. I play cricket whenever I get a chance to play. I have grown up watching cricket.
Cricket is my favourite sport and my dream is to be a cricketer like Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He is my favourite and I love the way he used to play the game and led the team. How can we forget that Under Dhoni’s captaincy, India won the 2011 world cup after 28 years. Cricket does not have one single format but various ones like test cricket, Limited overs cricket, Twenty20 International, and One Day International. Each format has a different set of rules and duration. I love cricket so much and my dream is to play for Team India.
