According to Article 21A of the Indian constitution, the State shall provide free and compulsory education to all children of the age of six to fourteen years. So, in India education is a fundamental right of every citizen.

The Indian education system is quite an old education system that still exists. Earlier there was the Gurukul system in India. The students had to stay at Gurukul ashrams with their teachers until a certain age. India has produced so many genius minds like Chanakya, Dr. A.P.J Abdul kalam, Rabindra Nath Tagore and there are many more that are making India proud all over the globe.

The Indian education system has developed over time. Though the curriculum is quite different from foreign countries. In western countries, the curriculum is based more on practical knowledge, while in India the focus is on theoretical knowledge and getting good marks.

Indian Education System is mainly divided into four stages which are pre-primary, primary, secondary, and higher education. The marking system in Indian schools starts with primary classes, which puts the burden on young kids. There is constant pressure on children to get good marks. Instead of understanding the various concepts of physics, mathematics, and other subjects, students are forced to learn the chapters. This needs to be changed. The Student should be allowed to explore their interest to improve their creative side and should not be pressured to follow a set curriculum to just get good marks.
