I got excited when a circus party came to our town. It was Royal Circus. When I, along with some my friends, reached the place, we saw a huge crowd at the booking windows. Somehow we managed to get tickets. We took a sigh of relief when we got good seats.
The show started with the rope-dance. We were struck with wonder when a girl danced on the ropes. I feared that she would fall down, but she maintain her balance admirably. Then some girls showed wonderful feats of gymnastics. The next item was very thrilling. A young man drove a motor-cycle round the walls of a wooden well. Another feat was cycling on steel wires. There two feats struck the spectators dumb with wonder. Then a healthy woman lay on her back. A piece of wood was placed on her body. A huge elephant stood on it for few seconds. To my amazement, neither she was crushed to death nor injured. Then some elephants and horses began to dance together. Their dance amused and thrilled the spectators. When the elephants played football, all wondered at their skill and intelligence.
Finally the tigers and the lions appeared. We all trembled with fear. Their trainers played with them for half an hour. We enjoyed the circus show. When the show was over, we came back home.
