A Journey By Boat – English Short Paragraph/Essay/Article for Student Exams
Our school was closed for 2 days. Some twenty students of our class decided to go on a boating trip. We were all in perfect holiday mood. We had a mind to take bath in the middle of the Ganges. So, we took one set of extra clothes with us. We also took some cooked food and a stove with us. We hired a boat. The weather was fine. The boatman held the bars and began to row it.
Luckily, there was neither strong wind nor strong current. The boat began to slide slowly through the gentle waves of the river. We were enjoying our trip. After rowing some distance, we reached a place where there was only neck-deep water. We asked the boatman to stop the boat. We got down into the water to take our bath. After taking our bath we again boarded the boat. It started again. We took our meals on the boat. Then one of our classmates began to sing a melodious song. His sweet voice echoed on the gentle waves of the river.
We were now approaching the other bank of the river. Our course was smooth. Our music ceased. After a journey of about two hours, we landed on the other side of the river. There was a temple of Lord Hanuman. We visited the temple. We enjoyed our trip to our heart’s content. It was really an awesome Journey by Boat.
