A Bus Accident – Short Essays/Paragraphs in English Language for School Students.
Last Sunday, I was travelling from Ambala to Delhi by bus. The bus was plying at a great speed. We had hardly gone fifty miles when a serious accident took place. A car was coming from an opposite direction. Its driver was dead drunk. He lost control of the car and ran into the bus. The driver of the bust at once applied the brakes, and also tried to turn the bus to one side. The bus jolted along the rough track.
All the passengers were thrown off their seats. Within seconds the bus went off the road and fall into a deep lake. There were loud cries of ‘save’, ‘save’. Many passengers were hurt, some of them were seriously wounded. Messages were flashed to Ambala and Karnal. Police came to the spot. Medical aid was rushed to the spot of the accident. The driver of the car got deep cuts on the head. He was unconscious. Wounded were taken to the hospitals.
I, too, got a deep cut on my left thigh. Many people gathered there. They helped the passengers to get out of the bus. Luckily there was no casualty. The case was registered against the drive of the car. The relatives of the injured were informed. I remained bed-ridden for fifteen days in the hospital.
