A motor car is a road vehicle that usually has four wheels and is powered by an engine. It is driven by a petrol or a diesel engine. Cars need a driver and usually have room for four or five passengers. Its seats are cushioned and comfortable.
The engine of the car is placed in front. It has also a dickey in its rear part which is used for carrying luggage. The bonnet of a car is the metal cover over the engine at the front of the car. At the end of the bonnet there is the wind screen which is fitted with two head lights.
The inside part of the car is divided into two compartments. In the front compartment sits the driver right in front of the steering wheel. One more person can sit in the front compartment beside the driver. Three person can sit in the back compartment. Just below the front wheel are the brake, the clutch and the accelerator pedals. In front of the driver is the dashboard which contains the speedometer, ignition switch and the milometer.
The motor car is a luxurious vehicle. It runs very fast and is quite useful and handy at the time of emergency. It is an ideal family carriage. It is very costly. Besides, it is very difficult to maintain a car especially when the prices of petrol are sky-rocketing.
