Earth is the only known planet that supports life. Trees allow the earth and its inhabitants to breathe. Life, on earth, would not have been possible if there would not have been trees. It gives us life by providing oxygen to us. Trees are like the lungs of the earth. They keep mother earth healthy. Trees are the best gift of nature for us. They nourish us and protect us in many ways. Trees play a significant role in maintaining the life cycle of humans and other living organisms. They make the environment beautiful and clean.
Trees consume Carbon Dioxide and release oxygen that we breathe. Many animals get their food from vegetables, fruits, and leaves, grown on trees. They provide shadow and shelter not only to us but also give habitat to wildlife. We are largely dependent on trees as they are the sources of fruits and vegetables. They are the sources of our food. Not just food we get wood, gum, timber, and so many other things from trees.
Many trees have medicinal properties like Neem, Oak, Eucalyptus, etc. They also play a very important role in saving our earth from natural calamities. Trees prevent soil erosion. Trees also help in indirectly bringing rain, the process is called transpiration. Trees make mother earth look more beautiful. A new study says that 15.3 billion trees are chopped down every year. So, taking action towards saving trees is not something we would do for saving trees but to save our own lives. Trees help us keep our life going. So, we have to save them if we want to save our lives.
