A Scooter : Factual Description Essays of Things in English for School Exams.
A scooter is a small light motorcycle which has a low seat. It is a power-driven two-wheeler vehicle for carrying two persons, one on the driver’s seat and other on the pillion. It has a petrol tank from which petrol mixed with Mobil Oil passes through The Carburetor or through an in-built pipe. An explosive mixture burns in the carburetor and moves the piston.
When we change the gear and accelerator, the scooter moves forward. There is a handle which is fitted with a lock, headlight and the speedometer. We use a foot-brake and a handbrake to control the movement of the rear and the front wheel, respectively. It has a plug which produces a spark where the kick is pressed. When the plug is deposited with carbon, it stops functioning. Regular cleaning of the plug is, therefore, quite essential.
The scooter is a vehicle of the people with moderate income. With the growth of cities, it has become a necessity. Salaried persons and people with low income are using it because it is economical, lighter and time-saving.
