Electricity plays its vital role in every aspect of our life. It cooks our food, lights our houses, sweeps and makes our rooms clean, warm or cool as we please. It runs the heavy machines in mills and factories. Nearly all the industries depend upon it for their survival. We know how power cut results in fall of production.

Science has won over time and space. Airplanes, ships, railway trains, buses, cars, three wheelers, two wheelers and other kinds of conveyances have made our journey safe, comfortable and convenient.

We can talk with our friends and relatives by means of telephone, telegraphs, mobile phones, internet calls, online chats, e-mails while sitting anywhere. One can see most of the walkers in the street having a mobile in their pockets or in hands or on ears. Fax and E-mail are among the fastest means of communication.

Developed means of communication and transport have pulled down the hitherto barriers of nationalism. They have brought the people of the world much closer, so that they may understand each other better.

Medical science has enabled man to fight against even the hitherto fatal diseases like heart diseases and cancer. By-pass surgeries, open heart surgery and transplantation of limbs like lungs, kidneys, and have lessened the deaths. X-ray, M.R.I, Echo, CT SCAN, Ultra-Sound have enabled the doctors to peep inside the body, diagnose the disease and cure it. Anaesthesia has enabled the doctors to do operations in a painless manner. The operation through laser rays has its unique importance.
Agricultural Science
Ploughing, reaping, sowing, packing, thrashing and separating corn from husk, all is done by machines. Pesticides, fertilizers and high yielding species of food grains are the boons of science. They have enabled us to feed our more than one hundred thirty crore citizens.
