School Life Verses College Life – English Essays / Paragraphs For Students Exams
There is a world of difference between the school life and the college life. School life is dull, boring and gloomy; the college life is full of life, activity and laughter. At school you have to work under duress, at college you are your own master. At school the teacher’s rod hangs over your head like the sword of Damocles, at college there is no fear, no anxiety, no compulsion.
At school, you have to obey the dictates of your teachers, to cram things to memory, to do the home-task, to answer the teacher’s questions. If you ignore his advice, you have to face the music. You have to carry a full donkey’s load of books and notebooks and sit on the hard wooden bench for long six hours. At college, you enjoy a lot of freedom, you have your own organization and associations and you find ample scope to develop your personality.
In schools you have little chance to interact with others, to discuss thing to take initiative and to develop your mental faculties; in colleges you mix freely with your teachers and other students, discuss things, and act at your own initiatives. Besides, college provides you so many facilities, and school none. So I prefer college life to school life.
