Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a clever rabbit named Bunty. Bunty was known far and wide for his wit and intelligence. One day, a fierce lion named Leo declared that he would eat one animal from the forest every day until all the animals were gone. The animals were terrified and didn’t know what to do.
Bunty, being the smartest of them all, decided to come up with a plan to save the forest animals. He went to Leo and said, “Your Majesty, instead of eating us one by one, why don’t you hold a competition? We will all take turns presenting ourselves to you, and you can judge who is the worthiest to be eaten first.”
The lion, intrigued by Bunty’s proposal, agreed to the competition. Bunty, being clever, knew that he couldn’t win against the lion in strength or size. So, he decided to use his intelligence to outwit the lion.
On the day of the competition, Bunty stood before Leo and said, “Your Majesty, I challenge you to a race. If I win, you spare the lives of all the animals in the forest. But if you win, you can eat me.”
The lion, confident in his speed, accepted the challenge. The race began, and as expected, the lion quickly took the lead. But what Leo didn’t know was that Bunty had strategically chosen a route that led to a deep ravine. As the lion approached the ravine, Bunty suddenly stopped and shouted, “Look out! The ground ahead is collapsing!”
Startled, the lion stopped in his tracks, giving Bunty enough time to sprint ahead and reach the finish line. The lion realized he had been tricked and begrudgingly spared the lives of all the animals in the forest.
The moral of the story is that intelligence and wit can often triumph over strength and power. It teaches us that even the smallest and seemingly weakest individuals can achieve great things through their cleverness and resourcefulness.
