The Commonwealth Games (CWG) are a festival of sports of the Commonwealth countries. The games are held once in every four years, but only in between the Olympic years. In the beginning i.e. in 1930, only 11 countries participated. The games were originally known as the British Empire Games. These have undergone a change of name and expanded into a major multiracial and cultural event. India is also a part of Common Wealth Games.
