RADAR (Radio Detection and Ranging) is used in spacecraft and ships at sea for various purposes:-

Navigation: RADAR helps spacecraft and ships navigate safely by providing information about the surrounding environment, such as the location and movement of other objects, including other vessels, landmasses, and celestial bodies. This aids in collision avoidance and route planning.

Obstacle Detection: RADAR systems can detect obstacles, such as icebergs, debris, or other vessels, even in low visibility conditions such as fog, darkness, or adverse weather.

Search and Rescue: RADAR can be used to locate and track distressed vessels or aircraft, facilitating search and rescue operations over large areas.

Weather Monitoring: RADAR systems onboard spacecraft and ships can monitor weather patterns, detect storms, precipitation, and wind patterns, providing valuable data for weather forecasting and navigation planning.

Surveillance and Defense: RADAR systems are used for surveillance purposes, monitoring maritime activities, and detecting potential threats such as hostile vessels or aircraft. In military applications, RADAR is also used for defense purposes, including missile detection and tracking.

Overall, RADAR plays a critical role in enhancing situational awareness, safety, and operational efficiency for spacecraft and ships operating in various environments.
