How Scenario Manager works:-
Defining Scenarios: Users can define multiple scenarios by specifying different sets of input values for certain cells in the worksheet. These input values can represent variables such as sales figures, interest rates, production costs, etc.
Creating Scenarios: After defining the input values for each scenario, users can create and name individual scenarios using the Scenario Manager tool. Each scenario consists of a unique combination of input values.
Managing Scenarios: Scenario Manager provides options for managing scenarios, including adding, editing, deleting, and displaying scenarios. Users can easily switch between different scenarios to view their impact on the results.
Viewing Results: Users can view the results of each scenario by running the Scenario Manager. Excel calculates the outcomes based on the input values specified for the selected scenario, allowing users to compare the results across different scenarios.
Scenario Summary: Scenario Manager also generates a scenario summary report that displays the results of all scenarios in a tabular format, making it easier for users to compare and analyse the outcomes.
Overall, Scenario Manager is a powerful tool in Excel that enables users to analyse the potential implications of different input values on their spreadsheet models, helping them make informed decisions and plan for various scenarios.
