The career growth trajectory of a State Bank of India (SBI) Probationary Officer (PO) :-

1. Probationary Officer (PO): Upon successful completion of the probation period, typically lasting two years, a Probationary Officer becomes a full-fledged Officer in the bank.

2. Assistant Manager: Based on performance evaluations and experience, a PO can be promoted to the position of Assistant Manager.

3. Branch Manager: Further advancement may lead to becoming a Branch Manager, responsible for overseeing the operations and business development of a bank branch.

4. Assistant General Manager (AGM): Exceptional performers with leadership qualities can be promoted to the position of Assistant General Manager.

5. Deputy General Manager (DGM): Experienced professionals may progress to the role of Deputy General Manager, overseeing multiple branches or departments.

6. General Manager (GM): Senior-level positions such as General Manager involve significant responsibilities in decision-making and policy implementation.

7. Top Management Positions: With continued performance, individuals may reach top management positions like Chief General Manager, Deputy Managing Director, and Managing Director.

Career growth within SBI is also influenced by factors such as performance appraisals, training programs, and competitive exams for internal promotions. Additionally, lateral movement across departments and specialized roles offers opportunities to broaden skill sets and career prospects within the organization.
