India is very rich in Iron, Manganese, Mica, Bauxite; self-sufficient in building materials, Antimony, Cement materials, Chromite, Clay, Dolomite, Lime  and Gold; deficient in Copper, Mercury, Lead, Zinc, Tin, Petroleum Products, Nickel, Sulphur and Tungsten.

3 Manganese Odisha, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand. India ranks third in the world in Manganese production.
4 Mica Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Rajasthan. India has the largest deposits of Mica in the world.
5 Bauxite (Aluminium Ore) Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, J & K, Odisha. India is the third-largest producer of Bauxite in the world.
6 Copper Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh.
7 Crude Oil Assam, Manipur, West Bengal, Ganges Valley, Himachal Pradesh, Tripura, Kutch, Off Est Bengal, Odisha, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh.
8 Lignite Some deposits also found in Gujarat, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu,  Jammu and Kashmir India ranks third in the production of Lignite.
9 Gold Karnataka; in small quantities in Andhra Pradesh.
10 Magnesite Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Karnataka.
11 Gypsum Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.
12 Lead-Zinc Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Meghalaya, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim and Rajasthan.
13 Chromite Odisha, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Manipur.
14 Dolomite Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Arunachal Pradesh.
